Passengers in wheelchairs must apply when buying tickets. c. Passengers who use their own wheelchairs during boarding (such as group wheelchair passengers) who have been approved and arranged in advance, their wheelchairs should be delivered at the boarding gate when the passengers board the aircraft.
2) Transportation of electric wheelchairs
a. Electric wheelchairs should be transported as checked baggage.
b. Electric wheelchairs used by sick and disabled passengers can be transported for free and are not included in the free baggage allowance.
c. When the electric wheelchair is checked in, its packaging must meet the following requirements:
(1) For wheelchairs equipped with leak-proof batteries, the two poles of the battery must be able to prevent short circuit and the battery must be firmly installed on the wheelchair.
(2) Wheelchairs equipped with non-leak-proof batteries must remove the batteries. Wheelchairs can be transported as unrestricted checked baggage, and the unloaded batteries must be transported in the following sturdy hard packaging: these packaging must be tight and leak-proof, can prevent battery fluid leakage, and be secured by appropriate means, such as using strapping , Fixing clips or brackets to fix it on the pallet or in the cargo hold (no support for cargo or luggage).
The battery must be protected from short circuit, and be fixed in the package upright, and filled with suitable absorbent material around, so that it can absorb all the liquid leaking from the battery.
These packages must be marked "battery, wet, wheelchair" ("wheelchair battery, wet") or "battery, wet, with mobility aid" ("mobility tool battery, wet"). And affix the "corrosive" ("corrosive") label and the package upward label.
